Default My car has sick? Tech help please!

I drive my car and all of a sudden the RPMs drop and the car stalls. I restart the car and it won't start. It will start and stall again. When I press the gas, It is chocking. I feel like the gas is not working. I put fuel injector cleaner but the problem still remains. Sometimes the check engine light goes on with a map sensor and O2 sensor code. I turn the car off for a while and then it will start up with no codes. Any advice????

ok then, what are you doing to the MAP voltage? first check for a bad connection, then see if you are increasing fuel a lot. I've heard of cars doing this if you increase fuel even as little as +8% map voltage..

If you throw a MAP sensor CEL, and your MAP sensor voltages and ground seem correct, I suggest disconnecting your v-afc. I've said it many times before, the v-afc does not seem to be compatible with many type R's that tried to use it.

I've got 60,000+ miles with the field & only 1 map sensor code - replaced the sensor & it has run fine since. However - what happens when you turn the field off (a nice advantage over the vafc!)????

Does it continue the problem?

check to see if you have any fluid dripping on the o2 sensor at the header. I had a small coolant leak at the throttle body dripping down and it shorted out the o2 sensor with the fluid making its way down the wires into the sensor. I had the same symptoms.
