i have a b16 and the y1 (lsd) tranny, for some reason there is fluid coming from that top slotted vent, tranny fluid i believe. could it be cause the axle seals are bad or could it be because when i put the tranny fluid in the VSS i didnt take off the front cap to let the fluid get in better? thanks

 

you could always try draining it and adding fluid through the correct spot. How much tranny fluid did you use?

when u say tha front cap, i am guessing you mean the correct fill hole.
Well that is removed in order to see when you have enough tranny fluid in there(if filling through vss).
I hope u didn't fill all the way to the top of the vss. If u did, just take the fill bolt out and let the excess drain out.....

 

well i put in 2 quarts

 

im just hoping this will work so i dont have to pull the tranny off :/
