Default CRX interior weight

I have a 88 CRX DX with stripped out interior(I bought it that way). I'm wondering how much does the rear plastic pieces weigh(and also the weight of the compartment)? I want to clean up the look of my car but don't want to put too much weight back in.

They don't weigh much you will not feel any effects. Especially since a stripped interior really gives you nothing more than a louder ride. If you want to reduce weight take out the sounded deading material that will save you a good portion of weight.

i have an hf too and i WISH i had sound material its really loud, and to the thread starter, the interior weighs really really little its lightweight plastic! so you wont lose any speed if you put it in and it will look decent at least

Alright thanks guys. To clarify; My car has nothing in it right now(I bought the car stripped; I just removed the dampening); I just wanted to clean up the look.

I already have back pieces from a parts CRX I bought awhile ago (pretty clean except it has frame damage). Thanks for the offer though.

You must have heavy *****

Some guy from switzerland stripped his Rex - only the rear interior with tools and spare wheel.
He said the stuff weight about 20lbs.......

well i have an 89 si and i stripped all the plastic and stuff from the back and i felt the difference. don't know how much it wieghd tho. To test it, me and my friends tried to put all of the stuff in 1 of my friends arms and he couldn't hold it all. it was hella funny cuz he's always taking pics of himself with his shirt off and putting it on myspace like he's all buff and shiz. halarious!!

I stripped mine and I felt a difference. You might not feel the difference at lower speeds though. Loud as hell too.

Do it! Who says you need a truck to haul things?!

If anyone is wondering I weighed the rear interior today using a bathroom scale. All weights are +/- 1 lb.

Number:

2 and 20 = 3.5lbs each

31 = 8 lbs

Number:

4 = 7lbs
5 = 9lbs

Whole of the rear interior weighs a little more than 30lbs not including the spare tire and tool kit
