hey im having a hard decision either keeping my car and putting a backyard special/airwalker front bumper or just put it up for sale and get a 99-00 Civic SI. What do you think i should do? i have many mods and im starting to like EM1's more and more...(especially EBP's).. btw my cars a 98 Civic DX hatch LS swapped.

hmm, i would save the money and instead of the airwalker bumper, just get the sir lip, and a nice set of real deal rims..

 

Put the bumper on and get the car painted EBP.

 

I own a '00 Si and a 95 CX. It looks like you are off to a good start with your hatch. If I were you I would continue on with the hatch project and not worry about an Si. You could get your front bumper and then turbo it, or LS/VTEC it. I'd hold onto the hatch... BTW is it black or purple?

 

its factory purple and i wouldnt want to do a color change.. theres not that many purple civics so i gotta keep it that color. im about to a gsr buildup for boost so whatever car it is, it will be gsr-t. those steelies are temporary till i get tires mounted on my wheels.

thanks... it is my first car ive ever had. i just wanted a car that already had good suspension and just a nice car overall. and having the hatch as a daily driver it sucks doing anything cuz i have limited time. making the hatch a perfect car id have to do a ground up project inside and out. well thanks again for the comments!

I wouldnt buy a BYS bumper before rims. It wouldn't look right with steelies

Amethist hatches with SIR bumpers/non painted SIR lip/jdm fog lights are SOOOOOOO hot. The BYS bumpers are tight though, I say keep the hatch

 

i had an EBP EM1.. but it got stolen.. im in the market for a hatch right now and yours is sex

 

you should do LS turbo.

My bad, but I've never seen a DAP EK with a BYS. I would rather do that than just have another stock looking SI.

What rims are goin on her?

 

put a vtec head and call it a day...you'll spank most Si's

if you want the comfort, you can always grab si doors for the power windows, and locks etc.


i'de keep the hatch.. cheaper insurance, less heat from thieves...and faster...

im about to do gsr turbo.. ive never ever seen a DAP civic with BYS front so that would be new to me.. it would look good for sure. im kind of doing MY own thing modding my own car and just putting things i like. enough of this JDM/USDM ****.

keep it coupes are slow...trust me I own one, and spent alot of money making it quick =P
