92 accord lx I NEED HELPPPPPP!!!!!
ok well i dont get this i have a 92 accord lx with no real mods except 1500 watts worth of amps a new cd player and 2 jl audio 12" subs now the car ran perfect up until about 2 days ago when sitting in park its sputters (rpm's go up and down) when taking off from a stop it doesnt stall but it doesnt want to move either it sputters can anyone tell me whats going on?
how many miles are on the car?
Sounds like the Idle Air Controll valve is acting up. Check your coolant level. If that's ok you MAY need to replace it. Sometimes cleaning will work. Do a search and you will find an overwhealming heap of help on this issue.
As far as a sputtering that may be a different issue.

now i just pulled that off like 20 minutes ago and it was dirty i cleaned it took it around the block and it was still doing it the coolent is fine and there is about 119000 miles on the car
If you did all of that (and made sure to purge the air from the system) the valve is probably bad. It happens. Just get one from your dealer (don't trust parts store stuff like that).
Have you changed your sparkplugs or wires?

it has all new wires new plugs and new cap and rotor it may need to be replaced or may even need to be cleaned with something more than air...you mention somehting about purging the air system what do you mean? and how?
there is a little bolt wit a hole by the thermostat housing loosen that up while the car is on and warmed up leave it open til no air comes out anymore. You should do that every time you mess wit the coolant system

Clean the IAC with choke cleaner or a brake parts cleaner that is methylene chloride based. The air will blow out the dust, but will not remove hard deposits. You also want to check the fast idle valve before you spend like $275 on a IACV. Take the top off the Valve (far right on the front of the plenum three little screws in the top) . Inside is a thimble surrounded by a donut. Some times it gets loose and can be screwed back down so that it seats properly. I also am of the opinion that Idle surge, caused by IACV or FITV or vacuum leak, will not cause a sputtering upon acceleration. Could you elaborate a little more. Does it do it when the engine is cold or only when it warms up or both? Does it ALWAYS do this or is the problem intermittant?
