I am interested in getting vertical doors now I went to an import guy and he said he could get them and install them for $1,300, and I have been looking around and found out that they are around $700. Now what is the difference between all of the brands like I know some use hydrolics but what about the ones that don't are those any good. And is Jt Auto Style a good company to get them from? Also how hard are they to install? I have done some minor projects like putting in two CAI, I helped my friend install his mid pipe on his STI, and I also have replaced my headlights. Do you think it would be to hard for me to do it by myself? Thanks for the help.

 

I would have to see lambo doors on another accord that don't rattle and have no problems before trying something like that. People who do that kind of mod to their cars are probably just using the car for shows, and not daily drivers. Know what I mean. Good Luck, if you do try it though.

 

i think that should be one of the last mods you do to your car. IMO, verticle doors would look goofy on a mostly stock accord

 

i have stuff done too my car and i am getting bigger rims and blacked out lights (both are in the mail)

Your car does look nice (7th gen ) but im still not feeling the verticle doors. A lambo as tiny *** skinny doors, i dont think it would be the same with the giant accord doors, it seems to me that getting in and out would be difficult. You could also put that $1300 towards suspension, which would equally increase the dope factor on your car

But hey, as long as you like it, thats all that matters. your car, your money

frankly, lambo dorrs are stupid as hell. plus, you wouldnt wanna ruin them when you take the accord out mudding again

 

1. Lambo style door kits usually require heavy modifications to the door and inside jamb. Unless you work for a dealership (like some of us) and have access to high end pneumatics, I suggest you take the car to a body shop.

2. Lambo kits are labor intensive, and a body shop will generally rape you when it comes to installation charges.

3. When everything is said and done, you'll have spent $2000 or more. Thats half a reasonable turbo kit.

You mentioned your car standing out more. This makes your car more appealing to people we like to call "Theives".

To each his own, but remember...bone stock ITR's are stolen every day because they "Stand out"

Lol I know those are my closest friends cars except for the IS which is a car that never gets used and just sits the garage. I like the idea of lambo doors so I don't try to convince me out of them and suicide doors are just as dumb. I have access to anything car related I need because my friend (with the STI) his family owns Cowboy Cab and there are a bunch of shops for the taxi's so I have access to lifts and anything else I need. I want to install them myself I don't care how long they take.

I have no idea how you decided that considering when the doors are down you can't tell if they are lambo doors are not secondly my friend's Accord just got stolen and now my parents are freaked so they are getting me a Lowjack so I don't have to worry about theives. I think the looks of lambo doors are nice, but frankly i wouldnt trust them on a daily driver.. I belive on 50 cents esclade he was driving down the road and one acually fell off.. but he just left it there.. itw as either his or his friends.. (true story it was on mtv)

so again i wouldnt trust it on a daily driver unless u know someone that has them and hasnt had problems.. or soemoen on here, but i dont think so.. seems like everyone here hates them

 

 

If I were you I'd spend the money that you are using towards those utterly useless doors and get some half-way decent sized tires to accomodate those wheels...if not, steer clear of pot-holes and any road imperection as your wheels are sure to get damaged as soon as you hit something major (trust me, it's just a matter of time)...next, i'd upgrade the suspension...this can be one of the most rewarding modifications if done right...and besides, "lambo" doors are hard to get in and out of...what's the point...

We have a pairt of butterfly doors, suicide, then we have cars like corvettes, a dodge viper, m3s, m5s, a vantage. it is bs i just want something nobody has and this is about hte only thing that nobody else has

acutally that was shaq's escalade. he was the only person with those doors on an a lade when 50 made that song and shot the video.

Yeah well none of them actually earned their cars I build websites for money and that is how I get the $$$ to do things to my car.

And I'm from Plano, Tx I doubt you've heard of it. You might have because a couple years ago there was an entire episode about Plano because it was the heroin capital of the world and 8 kids from my school died from it. And the urban dictionary is a pretty good summary of my city. Also because there is so much money here and nothing to do drugs are a problem theres like crystal, x (which is huge now), weed obviously, heroin, and crack is starting to become pretty good. I mean i showed u those pics of my friends cars and we are all 17 & 18.

and yes i have heard of that place, because im from texas, lived there my whole life, im just in virginia for two years.

also if your friend spent 18k on a damn system (im gonan guess u mean sound system) then i belive he got ripped bad.. my brother spent mabey 1k if mabey a little bit more and he has won compeitions with that and it hits very very hard.

Considering you want those doors for looks, those doors will be open as long as possible so you can get the most exposure.....

Oh and about lojack....It only works when you report your car as STOLEN...lojack has no effect when your rims are stolen on the spot where your car sits....

If you want to protect your car from theives...get a killswitch.....very effective....a theif can't steal what they can't hotwire....

Your car frankly confuses me....interesting that you have a dual outlet exhaust, and EX rims....since you have those ebay exhaust finishers I can't really tell if it's an aftermarket catback, or a stock v6 exhaust...

Case and point...
if you have a dual exit exhaust on the 4cyl, thats
if you have a V6 then just the exhaust finishers are
if you do have the v6 then your car has the wrong stock rims (I have an EX and I love those rims)

Oh and BTW....somebody lock this thread to eliminate the over-abundance of ***-backwardness displayed here....
