Default ls/vtec

hey guys, i am building an ls/vtec. well im building the bottom end first. i am going with ctr pistons and eagle rods. not sure on the crank yet which is why i am askin for some opinions on which crank to use. i will eventually get my hands on a 200 b16 head and tranny. any help will be helpful. thanks....mike

keep the ls crank unles you get an aftermarket one. keep the ls and get oem bearings

ls crank, use ls rods. gsr crank, use gsr rods. if you change the stroke, you need to change the rod length to match deck height or your pistons will hit the head.

why change the crank...I'm not sure about ls cranks, but i know d series cranks are rated for 600hp+

the only pistons you can use without problems are the b16 pistons. either p30 or pr3. if you use ITR or CTR pistons you will have to shorten the robs by 1mm on both ends. hope that answers your question
