Default Starting the caR

From time to time when I start up the car, it would not make that little rev after the car starts and the rpm just goes to 900 rpms instead of bouncing to like 1500 rpms and going back down to 900 rpms.

What's the problem? Any info would be appreciated

that happens to my car occasionally, but i don't think it is harmful. i know i like to wait to start the car and keep in the ON position so the fuel pump can prime. other than that, i wouldn't worry about it.

if the car is warm, it won't idle up after start. if it's doing this cold, then you may want to clean out the idle air control valve (IACV)

also- totsie7944- pumping the gas pedal doesn't do a damn thing on a fuel injected car. not being mean, just lettin ya know...

Been raised on carb'd motors have you????? Your just wasting your energy...unless you have the engine on then pumping the gas does squat

When I hear the loud hum of the pump quit sucking as hard.... then I ignite.

Otherwise the car is like... "please feed me".
