Default Anyone know what The O2 sensor reading should be? Looking to tune with multimeter

Does anyone know what the ideal volt reading from the O2 sensor lead should be.
I heard .700 is the best ratio

I am looking to hook up a multimeter to the 02 sensor lead to my A/F guage and try to fine tune the optimal reading across the board with my VAFC

Any help is greatly appericated

What you should first realize is that the stock O2 sensor is not great at 'telling' you what the real a/f ratio is. Its operation is more like a switch of sorts. And its this flip-flopping around that the ECU uses to trim injector PW and keep emmsions in check (The ECU never really knows what the actual a/f ratio is. But using this oscillating O2 output, the ECU adjust fuel fast enough, that the average a/f ratio is around optimum for the Catalytic Converter to do its job).

So use the stock O2 output as a GROSS indicator of leaness/richness, and not so much as a 'fine' tuning tool.

It might be worth a look into one of the DIY Wideband O2 kits which is based off a true wide band O2 (the stock NTK 5-wire that came on some Hondas).

Heres an article for some further reading if you care:
