H22A MT... You'll go through hell trying to find parts if you break something on the F20B

H22 will be much cheaper and simpler to install but it would be cool to see a turboed F20b in an accord.

jazzproparts.com has some f20b's and their specs are on there as well as h22's. personally i like jdm a whole lot, so i would definately go with an f20b. they put 'em in the jdm accord sir-T, plus they run about 15 more horses than an h22

As far as parts go... if you plan on doing anything more than a few simple bolt-ons... odds are you'll eventually break something. Just consider the long term before you pick an engine.

Actually, I just want my Sedan '92 (manual) to act as normal. Less problem and simple. Parts also easy to get and cheaper.

I just wondering that H22a MT is the suitable choice but, a friend of mind just asked to consider the F20B.

I just want to find out the cost and difficulties in the future after that.

If you are going NA get the H22 which seems to be ideal for what you want. The F20B would be a good engine if you want to turbocharge it.

you've already got a good f22, why not turbo that? It will handle the boost so much better than the h22.

I hv the option of F20B(AT) and H22a(MT). Another potential option is F23(AT). It is very hard to get F22 here.

As understood/being infromed, the parts for F20/F23 is very hard to get and expensive too. Maybe H22a (MT) is the ideal. What do you think? Any suggestion? I am going to swap the engine this coming February 06.

what i was saying, is that the 92 sedan is an f22, so why not just turbo the engine you have. that is, unless it's not the origional engine

it is not F22. Originally the SOHC caburator.

Do you have any idea between H22a (Accord) and H22a (Prelude)? Any different? HP? System?

Just a question because the H22a in Prelude is much cheaper then H22a in Accord.

Thansk

The 4th gens came with an f22a1,a4,or a6. All SOHC, non carburated. The accord never came with an h22 from the factory. The JDM H22 has 200hp and the USDM hsa 190hp. The type S has 220hp.

There's dozens of threads/writeups on this. Search for "engine swap" in the accord forum.

should all bolt right up.
you'll want to get H22 mounts though, not totally needed though.
might have a little hood rub with the power steering. mine did at least.

i just checked H motors, and the F20b long block with a MT is $949 and the 92-95 H22 is 1799. stop saying the H22 is cheaper.
