Don't think Honda makes V8s. The RL has a 300hp V6. Seems like if they made one, the RL, NSX, or MDX would have one.

Sure Honda makes the V-8 for the IRL I was reading somewhere that if Toyota quits the 'hi-po' engine business that Honda will be the sole source

HONDA does not make a v8 for any production car acura included

That is one thing we have all been waiting for a V8 from honda

Yea, if they can get 300 hp out of a V6, just think what they could do with a V8. I bet all the other automakers hope it never happens. Some people insist on having a V8, especially in a truck, but even in their cars. Honda probably looses some business because of it too. Honda has seemed like a conservative company to me. Look how long it took for them to decide to build a truck. About 8 years too late, in my case. I bought a pos toyota T100.

sweet ride but yeah i didn't think honda made anything over v6's. car looks like a acura but euro styled. nice power numbers as well. i wouldn't be suprised if it was just a concept car.

It's a giant conspiracy... other auto manufacturers depend on the fact that Honda doesn't make a V8 to stay in business. They got some kind of deal worked out.... real hush hush

Nope, Mugen makes them. There's a couple of them around, not exactly a one off, but not a production car either. But you'll be damned if you'll ever see one in America...

Yes, the other car companies are in big trouble if Honda starts putting V8s in there cars. Conspiracy huh, maybe their paying Honda millions not to make one, Hahaha.

Mugen is an engine builder for Honda's various different racing interests...that v8 is likely something that was conceived from a racecar motor...(although from the specs, it almost looks like a complete fabrication of two s2000 motors...4.0 litre motor, 9500 rpm's...590 hp...hrmmm)...

Rumor has it that the new NSX motor will be a V10...that car (according to honda) will be introduced towards the end of the next half-decade...I personally believe that it will be a cold day in hell when honda releases a V8 or V10 on a production car....

you can buy one from Mugen if you live in japan. it uses a detuned version of one of mugen's open wheel racer's V8s.

this has no business in the acord forum

this isnt a technical thread, and it has nothing to do with the accord. also this is roughly 1 year old. nothing new, and nothing that deserves a thread in the accord forum
