Default new oil pump leaking

I swapped from an ls oil pump to a gsr oil pump and now have a leak.
I used a small layer of hondabond around it and it started to leak. Then i pulled it off cleaned it and this time i used a grip of hb, the leak is less but it is still there. It looks to be leaking from around the area of where the plug is on the upper right hand corner. My question is, is there an o-ring that goes around the small oulet hole where the oil goes back into the motor? I searched and did not get much info on this, some say "yes" some also say that all you need is some hondabond. I have done a few of these before and to be honest i have never noticed this. Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
