Resetting check engine light
On 6th gens can you just remove the negative terminal or do I have to pull a fuse or both?
*I did a search but couldn't find anything specifically for 6th gen

Did you get the codes first? There is a 7.5amp fuse in either the under hood fuse box or the fuse box behind the hood release (should say radio backup, or clock backup, or something to that effect. If you remove the battery cable you will need the radio code to get the radio to come on again (factory radio). If you just do the fuse you will only have to redo the station presets.
PS: you have to remove the fuse for 10 seconds, then replace it. If whatever the light came on for is not fixed, it will probably come back.

To reset the check engine light you have to unplug the battery only. Make sure though that you have the code for the radio or else it wont start up. Just input the code into the radio and it should be fine.
