Pulling axels

Default Pulling axels

i have a 89 civic dx, 5 speed. cant figure out how to pull the axels off... ive got a nut that i know has to come off... but how do i get it off. ive got a breaker bar and it dont work

Did you disconnect all the suspension components so the knuckle can swing free of the axle?

After you get the axle nut off,take the long bolt that bolts the shock fork to the lowr control arm off,then unbolt the too bolts that hold the radius arm to the lower control arm,then take the lower ball joint castle nut off..Then lightly tap the axle out of the hub with a hammer or whatever..Then swing the whole hub/spindle assembly back so you have room to take the axle out,,Then take a pry bar or big screw driver and pry the axle out of the tranny..

Alot of bitching and moaning..

No,really though I used some coca cola and soaked it over night..Then used a huge led pipe for leverage..And you have to push in short powerfull thrusts to get it off..
