85 bucks for it ..should i jump on it or can i find it cheaper?

yep it's five speed, price is a little high but it isn't too bad.

what size is the y8 tb size?
what is the d15z1 tb size?

would it be a good upgrade in power in my VX motor?

 

im trying to convert my y7 mani to a y8 mani too. but i just have a bare y8 mani with nothing on it. can i reuse all the y7 parts and what cant i reuse?

 

If you want to convert your y7 manifold to y8 USE A COMPLETE AUTO y8 MANIFOLD! Its just plug and play.

You can't reuse the Y7 throttle body without modification to the throttle plate or using the Y8 throttle plate. The hole for the throttle cable doesn't line up right.
