Default OIL LIGHT LAMP ON?? ON JUST INSTALLED H22 JDM

OK....so i just noticed that the oil lmap is on in my 4th gen h22 JDM lude? Why would this be? I put 5 quarts of oil? Would there be anything else causing this?


I just disconnected the battery to reset the ecu.

Any one else have this problem beforE?

if the motor has sat awhile you have to presurize the oil system again. Just unplug the coil from the distributor so that the motor can't start. and just turn it over until the oil light goes off.

Check for a dent in the oil pan. Even if there is just a small one, it will cause the oil light to come on. Happened when I did my swap and also when my brother swapped his lude(H23 to an H22). Seen it multiple times on this and other sites.

i did notice a dent...can it affect the efficency of the oil being circulated?

did u hook up the oil pressure switch properly? and is it functioning properly?

i would try and reconfirm the oil pressure with a know good guage.
