Alternator & Waterpump bolt - HELP!!!
All was going fine on my waterpump change out. The bolt that holds both the alternator bracket and the waterpump snapped!
Any ideas on how to get a drill down there in the tight spot to get it out???

Thanks for the quick reply. It might even be too tight for that. I'll have to measure it. If it's too tight I'll have to drill through the side wall to get to it with an extra long bit. I'd patch it back up with sealant.
All the bolts came off with no issues and this is the last one.

I've made up my mind. I'm going through the side wall. What's one more hole anyway. There's others drilled in there for the splash shield.
Thx everyone.

I used a nail driver to make a hole in the sidewall just above the powersteering pipes. I drilled out the bolt enough to get the water pump out. I ran out of charge on my drill after that. Anyways, seems successful. I'll plug it with good ole jb weld. That bolt was really soft.
