Should I strip my interior?
I am getting an LS swap done soon and was wondering if you guys think I should strip my interior? I talking like just leaving the front door panels, dash, and front seats. Anyone who done this before, did you feel a difference?
yes you should. you'll feel cool. people might think your car is ****, but when they see the stripped rear, they'll know, you'll know, what's up.
you should pull it. i did on my crx when i did my swap. the a/c and heating and all the **** inside the dash came out too. i can't say if i felt a difference, cause i did the swap too. there's lots of room back there. you can haul lots of bottles of water.

hmm...yeah, hear all sorts of road noise, loud exhaust, gas slurping around in your gas tank...and all for what? like a few 10ths in the 1/4? hardly seems worth it to me, but then again i live in Texas so i actually appreciate my A/C. oh well. more power to you
heck yeah it is. i tried the stripped thing for about a week...it SUCKS A NUT. i can see if it's a track only car, but man, if you gotta drive that thing daily, it freakin sucks.

**** i been drivin my hf around for about 6 months with no int from the front seats back, and my crx hasnt had a front bumper on it in about 3 months. it is cold, and it makes all kinds of noises right now, but its mainly my front hub bearings. they are LOUD!!!! i was gonna replace them, but i need si hubs and knuckles for my b18b swap. i dont see the point of having the rear storage compartment in, its just so damn heavy!!!!
If you want total performance, you gotta face the pros and cons. My car is semi-gutted which I think is suitable for daily driving and the strip as well. I think its badass, but that's what I want to do with my car. I have some clean pics that I will post if you guys want me to.

yeah i didn't notice a difference at all when i stripped my interior. i mean it looks cool and racey, but you do hear alot of extra squeaks and noises. i'd leave it in. the backseat and panels don't really weigh that much anyways.

the chick will go with the fastest car
i also have my car gutted. I did it because I painted the inside of my car white, but never got around to putting the peices back on. But I like it and it seems to get people's attention(some people might not even want to race because they are intimidated). But yes u do hear the rattles, exhaust, etc etc..... but i have a bumpin system, so i dont hear a damn thing. But it comes down what u like, and what u want. If you are gonna gut it to save some weight then dont even do it, its no that much. But if you want that racerfeel to your car then go for it. just my 5 cents

I wish I had a problem with it being too cold. Here in new orleans it is like 90 degrees and 100% humidity, and for some reason my rex seems exceptionally hot. Why strip the interior? I don't get it, you want to strip EVERYTHING but the front seats, and the door panels? Hmm what else is there, the rear seat in a hatch is pretty light, the carpet is so damn light, and the rear panels are like this as eggshell. For the 1/2 of the tenth you may shave off your time, it is not worth it, c'mon man the cars we drive are old, you have to keep them as nice as you can. OH YEAH and when people see your interior is gutted, they don't "know whats up".
I have been on the other side man, the things we say are not pretty.

I stripped the whole rear section of my b16 crx. I did it becasue the car was a total piece of ****, though. All rusted and decrepid (except for the engine
) , so I figured I'd just go to town on it.....
I probably save like 25lbs, but hell, I didn't care what it looked like, it looked like **** anyways. I did get respect from people at the track, though. They see that your daily driver is gutted and they think you're hardcore. Anyways, on my project crx which is actually going to look halfway decent, I'll keep the interior.

get a cage, or spot weld the chassis. I'd opt for the cage.
At the vert least, strut tower bars.
my CRXs interrior is fully stripped..but it isn't exactly a daily driver.

not worth it.100 lbs = 1/10 of a second in the quarter mile.
this reason being why most people can't feel a difference.even after pulling all that cap out your not gonaa be that much faster,
