ZC head removal
OK I am removing the head from my zc while its in the car(going to replace water pump, oil pump, timing belt, and head gasket(again)). I have never removed the head while it has been in the car. When I replaced the head gasket last time it was sitting on my garage floor. Very easy. My question is do I have to remove the throttle body or can I leave it on the head when I remove it? Also this is like a second question. The bolt on the crank shaft pulley I can not get to budge worth my life. Any suggestions on this? I heated it up with a torch and let some WD-40 sit on it over night and it still wont budge. Any tricks on how to get this ****** off would be awesome! Thanks in advance!
What are you using to hold it from moving? I used the long handle from my floor jack as a breaker bar, make sure you hold the socket extensions level with the bolt so you don't snap anything (use a jack stand).
I used the long handle from my jack too. I just put a extension piece through the whole and it doesnt move. I already broke two wrenches trying to break it loose. and yes i am turning the right way. any information if i can leave the tb on the head when i take it off the block???
