valvecover
im trying to take my valve cover off to paint it, but im having trouble getting the distributor plugs off...i have a b18, do they come off a certain way? also are there any precautions i should take because my engine is exposed?
Also to note if you can find Plane Stripper at a local auto parts store pick that up and use it to clean off your valve cover of all the oem paint/stuff. It'll clean your valve cover down to the smooth metal in under 3 mins... no hard labour required! awesome stuff. Saved me a lot of time.

As for the original question, don't worry about it..pull hard and it should pop off

hey, who gives a expletive if i got shot off ebay, try just the intake and headers, as long as i put a good filter on, it runs just as well as ur 200 dollar AEM intake, and for the headers, there megan....which is a company whos revived the rights from dc-sports...so its the same damn thing except they are wholesaling them. so everyhting u buy on ebay isnt ness. bad.

This was a tad bit harsh and uncalled for. It’s his car, who gives a flying expletive?

I worked sheet metal for a long time... it it was painted then stripped, you want to put some sort of finish on it, or atleast polish it to a shine, whether or not aluminum rusts, it is weakened by the elements. (I did sheet metal roofing) A piece of unpainted aluminum had some acid spilled on it. This acid was used to remove oils and finish from galvanized steel but thats beside the point. This section a yuear later had to be replaced because it got the $h** beat out of it. You should polish it. It will make your engine bay look 100% clearner and nicer with a very fine polish on your valve cover, almost like you have a chrome valve cover. You will like it... and if you dont, instead of adding polish after you sand it all down you can paint it any color including a silver color, so it up to you, but dont leave it that way.
