hi i just got the mcculloch 6000k hid kit for my DA and when i turn them on they flick on real brite (i know thats normal) then get real dim and then get brite(like how a tv projector warms up). and it sometimes flickers warming up to, please help my friends G35 hid lights dont go dim after they ignite.

 

make sure the connection is very well put together, and mine are very bright almost blue and then turn down to white (5000K). Also your friend has oem HID's and theres nothing better. Mine would flicker when i first put them in, then i found out that when the car would start/shake that they would move the connection. Soooooo i did this





Im also going to sodder them so i dont have to weary about them every.

HIDs dim down because they cool down after start up. The initial start up with oem hid and hid kits give them a pretty intense blue color = higher kelvin. They would cool down to a cooler blue/white in about 30 secs which is why they may seem dimmer. Welcome to the world of HID's.

And you have a hid kit in your DA that **** must be throwing light alll over the place, I sense made glare. Any pics of the setup?
