Default LSVTEC Valve Cover hitting Hood?

I am planning on buying a CF hood and I noticed my valve cover on my lsvtec caused giant dents in certain areas of the skeleton for my stock hood. What could I do to make it so it doesn't distort my hood? I heard new motor mounts, any good ones that people have used to clear the hood cleanly? Any other things I could get to make it clear?

more then likely gonna be your motor-mounts. don't be cheap, replace them, it's for you're own saftey.

I have the same problem with my b18b1. I have a thread about it and I'm almost certain it's the driver's side mount. Read here:

i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. mINE WAS SO BAD THAT IT EVENTUALLY ENDED UP PUTTING 2 HOLES IN THE HOOD (FRiggin caps....sorry) 1st I cut the skeleton a lil bit and that helped a lot (had new hood by then), then I got some Hasports and vualla,.. no more issues. Im actually putting on a cf hood later today and I hope I dont have to do any modifications but we will see. Im also running a Koyo radiator so that causes an issue too. Im thinking if I have to do any modifications, it will be to the radiator support brackets (moving them down) but once again,... we'll just have to see.

hasport mounts will probally cure the hood hitting problems.

Is there any other brand that might be a little cheaper than HaSport? because my budget is kinda limited because I don't have a job right now so any money saved is good. Otherwise I guess I might just have to fork out the 300 for the motor mount.

seriosly,...Id save up for hasports. They are WELL worth the money. They are gonna do SO much more than just keep your hood safe. It will DRAMATICALLY reduce wheelhop which helps 60' times (if you dragrace) and beleive it or not,... it helps with cornering too. The ONLY thing that I dont like about mine is that it makes everything inside the car shake. I can deal with that though if it has a performance advantage and trust me,..it does!!
