Are you talking about swapping say an 01 cluster into a 94 Integra. If so then yes there is a difference, I got a 01 GSR Cluster from my friend and put it in my 97 LS after I had a GSR engine swap and it went berserk. Fuel and Temp gauges dont work, my needles rock back and forth when I signal, etc. etc. Id assume the wiring harness would be different as well.

Yes the clusters arent interchangable. You can just undo all of the scews and transfer the plastic and wires from the back of your old cluster to the new one and that should make it work other than i believe you also have to put the black shroud around the gauges on the new cluster also.
