I actually just got new wheels very similar to your setup.
16x7 +40mm offset Rota Slipstream
205/45/16 Falken ZE512's
The ride quality is great and the tires are very quiet.

yeah i have some racing harts type c's and im on falken ziex 512 205/45-16 i just want to get some other options thats all
205/45-16 is best, although 215/45-16 will also work. 205/40-16 is WAY too small (4.2 percent smaller in outer diameter than stock) and will throw off your speedometer and odometer by too much.

That's a TERRIBLE choice for someone in SoCal. The Ziex ZE-512 is an all-season tire. All season tires are compromise tires, designed to be okay on snow (not as good as a winter tire, but okay), and okay in warmer temperatures (but nowhere near as good as a summer tire). Unless you are driving to areas with a good chance of snow, you would be MUCH better off with a decent summer tire. For example, in anything warmer than snow or frigid cold, the Yokohama ES100 and the Kumho Ecsta SPT both offer much, much, MUCH better performance than those Falken tires, for about the same price.

Never throw out tires that have tread, even if they're not the best for what you need.
