Default Can anyone tell me what there TPS readings are off thier AFC?

I need some help here I got an aftermarket Ericks Racing 70mm TB on my ITR and it seems as if i do not get full throttle. When checking my readings i get no more then 4.4 WOT on the TPS reading. I hear from some people it should be 4.9. So after modifying my TPS to hit 4.9 at WOT my idle is crazy high. So i sent the TB overnight back to Ericks racing he check it out and said this.

" honda TPS sensors are only for idle control after a quarter throttle it doenst matter what the readings are"

sounded wierd to me

so i plugged back in my stock TB w/stock TPS attached in its stock set position

With key on ACC and engine off i get .345 no throttle and 4.2 at WOT

So guessing my TPS should be set at that on the Ercks racing throttle body i set it like that.

Runs fine idleing at 8-900 rpms too 1-1000 at times

But still on my V-AFC when the car is on and punched it will only say 85% throttle

I dont know what the hell to go by?

Someone please help me out if you have a VAFC on a ITR and tell me what your readings are with key at ACC and car off....off throttle and at WOT

I appericate the hell greatly i am trying to make sure that i am getting the reading to my ECU off a WOT position

-Settings on VAFC are 10% low and 50% high for throttle setting (like book says)
-Butterfly on Ericks racing TB DOES open fully

Thanks for any help in advance

it should be 0.5V at closed throttle and 4.5-5V at WOT. if it's a little more than 4.5 it's still ok.............. 0.3V is to low and will probably make the engine idle really weird.

try adjusting the TPS yourself. try to get it at 0.5V at idle.

you dont have to have the engine running.........leave it on ACC and then do the adjustments.

the service manual says it must be 0.5V at closed throttle so that's what it should be.........
