Default Del Sol didn't pass emissions

I just got a Del Sol and it didn't pass emissions. I'm thinking it could possibly be the o2 sensor. Anyone have any ideas on what it may be?

Thanks!

i'm not sure what kind of tests they run for emissions in your state, but which one did you fail?

the gay *** "jdm" high flow cat is most likely the problem. its not jdm. if you ever see a jdm cat, you better have paid about 800 for it.

definetly sounds like your Cat. I had the same BS problem on my civic, failed the same test, replaced the CAT and I passed.

heard a rumor also, if you use higher octane gas, it will burn cleaner. and yeah, the cat will make a big difference,

i had a smog done, and my max pts i was allowed was 180 something, i was hitting 2300 pts, woww.. changed my cat and i was at 20something pts.. change that cat.

running a higher octane gas than required by the engine will not burn cleaner. in fact, it may have higher HC numbers because an optimal engine will perform best when it has the octane closest to its detonation threshold. with a higher octane gas, you will possibly have unspent gas and make HC numbers worse.
