i have a 90 hatch si with rotora slotted disk and aem pads on stock calipers.
The last two times i have driven it i have come home and the left side has been smoking. I'm thinking the flat black paint on the steelies could be the problem because its just regular spray paint.
What else can it be guys, the brakes arent glowing or anything and its just on the left side. help please!

could u explain a frozen caliper? sorry for the noob question.
the brakes feel normal and dont pull to one side when i brake hard. they seem fine mechanically.

hmmm....well if it doesnt pull to one side then its probably not a frozen caliper. have you taken the wheel off and examined the pad and rotor?

does the inside of the left wheel look odd? like any sort of paint disfigurement?

why not take some paint thinner to the f-d up paint and then take it for a drive, see if it smokes up still
