Quality of Racing Hart rims???
I am looking into purchasing a set of Racing Hart rims possibly and was hoping to hear from owners of them. How do they hold up to city streets? The setup in question is a 17" CP10 with 40 series tires on them. I know they are considerably less weight (which is in my favor), but does that make them less strong and more prone to cracking?? Any comments welcome, thanks.

If you get the high-dollar forged Racing Harts, those are very strong. But I don't know how well they'll hold up w/ 40-series tires. I've seen TONS of 17" Volk TE-37's on Hondas w/ bends around the outer lip.
I personally would never put such a high-dollar wheel on my car unless it had at least a 45-series tire, which you can't do on a Civic or Integra w/ a 17" wheel.
The Racing Hart Evolution line is their cheaper, cast line of wheels, not as strong or light as the forged ones. I'm not sure which ones the CP-10's are in. HTH

i had a friend with racing hart t5's and the lip bent pretty easily. He had 40 series tires on them and never really drove on rough roads. My opinion is they make pretty good quality wheels but you might wanna try a thicker tires height like 45 series.
I'm wondring the same thing myself. I just bought a set of cp8's, (17lbs) which from what I've found are SSF (forged) rims. I also went with 215/40 tires to add a little extra rubber between the rim and th road. I've seen a few posts on here where people say they've bent a RH rim- I've never heard of someone cracking a Racing Hart- Usually a rim will either bend or crack, but not both, since the metal properties that cause either type of failure are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Cracking is definitely more dangerous.
I have the cp8s and have no problems with them. I have only had them for about a year. I did hit a pothole so hard I bubbled a tire and had to have it replaced. No problem with the rim though. I know that the cp8s are forged and are a really great wheel for the price. I paid $950 shipped to my door for the four of them with lugs.

all of Racing Hart's 3 Piece rims are made by Hart Racing of Japan....they are ok wheels...i know people who haven't had problems with them... the Racing Hart Evo series is made by American Racing in america...it is not a Japanese wheel...the quality of those wheels suck ****....if you are planning on getting racing hart, go for the ones made in japan... i think some of the one piece rh evos are made in japan, like the cp8...most of them are american made though...

I've looked my cp8's over and I can't find any country of origin. The box has japanese writing on it.
Does anyone know if any of the symbols in the metal correspond with the country? I cant figure out what that "JWL" (run together) stands for.
