Default help ..Fly-wheels!

The story..

alright i have a stock b16a2 with some bolt on's and its straight for me but i want to add a fly wheel my friends has an jdm itr and he had an 8lb flywheel for it . so he gave me the stock itr fly wheel.

The Question.. whats the diffrence between and itr flywheel and a b16a2 is there a weight diffrence and is it worth it or should i just buy a new flywheel?

thankz

its not worth going through the hassle jsut for a ITR flywheel...

stick with yours and just buy one later... while youre in ther might as well do clutch too :-P

with the mods you have on your car do not go witha 8 lb flywheel.. you will rev up faster than you can say OMFG... and your revs will drop faster too... not nuff power!

im using the act 12.5 lb flywheel and that ****** revs up pretty fast in my b16a... its nice, considering just running a few boltons...

hope that gives you an idea...

just remember, the lighter flywheel, less inertia the damn thing has... so revs drop faster, but! it revs much faster.

Eh? Power has nothing to do with it, it's just a matter of less rotating mass. And dropping revs faster is good, it allows you to upshift faster while rev matching.

Though I agree that the ITR flywheel isn't worth all the trouble. And the clutch should be replaced at the same time.
