ok heres what happend. i had been driving my car all day with no problems. then tonight i had left my friends house. i pulled out of his addition and shifted from 1st at about 3500. as i was accelerating my car kinda stumbled a little bit went about 200 more feet then the cel came on and almost no power and there was a bad smell coming from the exhaust or through the vents im not sure I had the door open and the heater on high. so I limped into the wendy's parking lot and opened the hood. there was a like screeching noise comin from my distributor so i was like **** and had my mom tow me home. Then half way home i started the car while in tow and it ran fine so i drove carefully the rest of the way home. Now it seems to run finenow but there is a really loud clicking noise coming from the distributor. doesanyone have any ideas or had this happen and give me some pointers??? thanks

 

It looks like you have a 91 integra and the distributors were a common problem on most g2 tegs. If you hear a strange screeching noise coming from the dizzy it's prolly the dizzy bearing starting to seize up. This is clearly not a good thing to let happen because your timing belt will most likely jump or even snap if this happens. It would be in your best interest to replace or rebuild the distributor as soon as possible.
