hey guys, just swapped in a JDM H22a into my 4th gen, and i have a problem with the idle surging from about 900 to 1200rpms, then back down. at first i thought that it was my secondary butterflies, but the i pulled the vaccum hose off of the valve, and the idle quality was good again. but it still does it every now and then, after being driven hard especially, but then goes away after about 30 seconds, could this be a faulty MAP sensor? HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Mine used to do the same thing - but I had the wrong ecm in my car. It doesn't do it now though.

 

maybe its your idle air control valve. my idle used to fluxtuate too, until i cleaned the screen mesh thing on the iacv.
