Default Storing a block for winter

Hey guys I'm building an LS for boost to go in my EF sedan sometime this spring. I just got the block & head back from the machine shop, looks great.

My question: How do I store the block until I'm ready to assemble everything? It will only be for a matter of 4-5 months tops. It was outside in a dry shed, but then I got nervous about possible rusting so brought it inside to the basement. It's still in a big bag that the machine shop gave me, but not airtight.

Any suggestions? I left the head in the shed......is that ok?

Oil them down and put them in plastic bags, like the machine shop's. They'll be fine, as long as they aren't submerged in water or something like that.
