That's not a terrible deal but I deinately would lowball the offer. I just bought my car from and individual. 2001 with 36,100 miles (perfect car) with a hard top that was used for one season for $17,200. Of course I don't have the extended warranty but warranties through dealers only cost at max about 900 to 1500. I think you could probably get a better deal if you work it.
if you buy from private person, can you go to the dealer and just buy the warranty?
or would you have to buy car from the dealer to be elgible for the warranty.

I know for a fact that Allstate sells a parts and labor, bumper to bumper warranty for cars purchased either from dealers or individuals. There are some guidelines like age and mileage but it's very inexpensive. If you need more info let me know. I'm sure there are more companies that offer aftermarket warranties. It's similar to an insurance policy with deductibles.
