Default b series linkage question

i have a jdm b16 in my rex and i ordered a jdm ef9 shift linkage for it. When i put my catback exhaust on i found out that it hits when i shift. In certain gears it hits and some it doesn't. How can i fix this should i somehow pull my exhaust down to keep it from hitting or is there something i can do on the linkage. It justs clinks the exhaust its not a major problem just wondering if this will hurt anything like maybe put a hole in my exhaust????????what should i do????

it won't make a hole but lift up the car then check if you can adjust the exhaust hangers to work.

Do you have a short shifter installed too?

Most of the time, when a short shifter is installed, and you have the JDM OE linkage, the weight on the end of the linkage needs to be cut for clearance of the exhaust.
Most of the time, when you lower the exhuast (assuming you car is lowered too) you run into the problem of catching the exhaust on more bumps than ever, and even harder!

I hope I do not have any problems with my REX, it has a hasport linkage which I am pretty sure is just a copy of the JDM unit. I plan to get a GReddy exhaust and I have a short shifter already so I hope I have no problems

Yeah, when i put my invidia cat-back on my ef it would hit my shift linkage (avid racing) and i was able to get under it and play with the hangers to give me some more room so it wouldn't hit.
