Wanna go fast cant go cheap. Thats my motto. Pay your dues and do it right the 1st time around. Take it from someone whom has blown many motors due to skimping on **** I shouldnt have

Somewhere on this site there was a page on the XS and or ssautochrome turbos... it was all on the horror stories of the exhaust housing on the turbo cracking in half and the exhaust mani leaking and breaking because it wasnt properly re-enforced...

I would say pay the extra grand and get something that will last....

But remember it wont be good unless you get it tuned REALLY well!

Buy my drag kit. : $1,975+ shipping (a/c compatible)

rebuilt garret t04 / t3 oil & water cooled, with 0 miles after the rebuilt (by turbonetics)
drag manifold
turbonetics evolution wastegate with (3) psi adjusting springs
blitz blowoff valve
moroso oil pan 5.5qt aluminum (new)
9in by 24inch by 3inch intercooler painted black
red powdercoated pipes with t-clamps and silicone sleeves
greddy oil catch can (new)
sx fuel pressure regulator (new)
walbro fuel pump (new)
str fuel rail
vortech fmu
all hoses and clamps

direct bolt on kit.

in VERY GOOD CONDITION.

its a garrett turbo but on the other side of the turbo theres a turbonetic stamp. so im guessing garett provided the turbo for turbonetics or something.

dude if you have the patience - piece together your own 'kit'. you will much better off that and end up with much more high quality parts than you would with any kit except maybe for a Full Race or Peak Boost kit. The Drag kit is a decent kit, but I had it on my GSR for awhile and the whole time I had it I wished I would have just put my own turbo 'kit' together and got the better parts. For example, you can get a nice ball bearing gt28rs for $850-900 new and then just look around here on h-t for a good condition used equal legnth manifold and then get a piping kit used or new intercooler and some lines and fittings ect and then good EMS ( hondata, uberdata, chrome, neptune, turboedit, power fc, aem ems, ect ect ) and basically youre good to go for about the same price with much better ****. just my opinion

low down on XS power/ss auto chrome

Homemadeturbo.com did a car from all SSautochrome stuff.

the turbos are cheap and like most turbos, will blow up over time, so personally i would rather pay the same amount for a new one than a used garrett...

wastegates, all a wastegate is a spring with a piston in it, watch ur boost gauge, you really cant mess that up

Blow off valve, great, especially the Turbo XS RFL knockoff, i have it and i really like it

Manifold, if u buy the kit it is a good deal, but dont expect anything to come of it, be ready for it to crack in a month, and if it doesnt, than you are lucky

IC piping, cant mess up IC piping...2.5 inch MAKE SURE that the pipe coming from the Compressor to the IC is 2.5 and not 2

IC, small but they get the job done

Oil--buy stealthmode lines, NEVER trust ebay on that kind of stuff

downpipe, make one or get it for 50 bucks, id just pay it

OVERALL
I often see a lot of biast remarks from HT and TI on different turbo setups soley because the **** is cheap and not Greddy or some bullshit... I sport garrett, custom made ic pipez, JRC, and knockoff RFL... People need to try **** before they preach against it...

He's pretty much right, except for the wastegate and turbo. A good wastegate is essential. Even if you do watch the boost guage, if the wastegate fails, the boost could spike up to 30 psi in a second, and you might not be able to get off the gas in time to save the engine. As for all the other parts, the XS POWER turbo comes with a 2 year warranty, so if it blows, get them to buy you a new one. Definitely don't trust the XS POWER oil lines. Get some good ones that you know won't fail. Those kits are ok for the amount of $$ they cost. The manifold can't suck enough. Two of my friends had their's crack, so they got them welded, and it cracked again, and again, and again. Shitty manifold. Me personally, I wouldn't buy one, but that's just me. I'm saving for a Full-Race kit. It'll be worth it to me in the end. I'll get Full-Race quality, and big props for getting it. Everyone with a XS POWER kit I've seen, has gotten made fun of like crazy, and noone respects them.
