Default hydro tranny in cable car?

I will be putting a hydro gsr tranny in my 93 DA in a few weeks and I had a few questions. I got a mount kit so the cable to hydro thing should be no problem. My main question involves the VSS, because in my car its cable driven and the hydro tranny has an electric one, can i take out the electric one and put in my cable one? My other question is can I use my starter on the new tranny?

This is exactly what I was going to bring up. You should definitely look into an application with Hasport. They make the cable to hydro tranny mounts.

The Hasport kit has the mount and cable to hydro adapter! It will make this swap very easy.
