DPI is Direct Port Injection. Thats the OLD crap they used on the DX engines in like the EF's if memory serves me right. They used two injectors and split one for two cylinders. All the newer crap is MPFI, Multi Port Fuel Injection. Uses 4 injectors, one per cylinder..
