Default retarding ignition timing with nitrous ?

my zex kit recommends retarding ignition timing by 4 degrees for runnin a 75 shot (dry kit) . that would mean i set it to 12 degrees instead of 16 right? but if i do this isnt that gonna make normal driving sluggish or wont it affect it? its gonna be on a a6 block / z6 head combo motor i built .

i ran a 75 shot on my accord. get an msd retarding ignition box. therefore, when you click the juice switches, that's the only time it's retarded.
