It really depends on your driving history, your age, etc. I just bought mine last month and I pay 950 every six months.

I think mine will probably be close to your situation. I turn 19 in roughly 26 days, and just bought my 06 Type-S on December 7th. (which already got hit but thats a whole story in its own) I have one speeding ticket which resulted in one point, and I pay 466.00 a month.

Exactly, check out most of the insurance companies websites and there usually is some sort of "Get a Quote" feature where you enter your info (age, accidents, tickets, car, location, etc) and they will show you how much it would cost.

Your time would be much better spent there than asking people on H-T as the info they give you will vary as locations, ages, # of violations etc are different.

Thats why I chose to go with the 06 Si... Its cheaper on the insurance... Im 22 years old with a good driving record... They quoted me over 300 bucks a month!!! Thats about as much as the car payment... Plus the Si has a lot more potential...

Keep that driving record clean and in three more years your life will get better. And then again when you get married and more so with kids. I only pay like $100 a month for my ep3 and the wifes land yacht new Accord.

you cant go off what other people say...........
my dad is a State Farm agent,..... i have an 02 SI and i got quoted 400 from one place and 155 is what i pay now through progressive. i am 22 and most companies will tell you that your rates will be the same from 16-25,......it is very RARE that any company will give u a better rate just cuz u have a birthday and are still under 25.
I got quoted 20 dollars more for a 06 type S through every company i called so the cheapest i found was 180ish for a 06 Type S. ......and an 06 SI is only 8 dollars more with who i am currently with.
however,....my rates changed 5 dollars a month by moving about 2 miles away into a new zip code.
Basically,...considering you live in New York(high population=more thefts/accidents of that model car, as apposed to in a small town where there is only 1 of them cars insured where it would be much cheaper)
i guess you will pay at least 200 a month..........

yes really... The Si does have more potential from the factory... LSD would be the main thing... How much would that cost for you to add to your car? The money you're putting into th LSD and insurance im putting toward other mods... Dont get me wrong... The Type S is a great car.. IMO it looks better than the Si and has more of an aftermarket right now bc its been around longer.... but $23K vs $20K made a huge difference for me... That additional 3k can buy a lot of other mods... But i guess thats why its a free country huh? Just my 2 cents

So, does price paid, and insurance cost have anything to do with how much potential to make power the car has? I do wish my Type-S came with LSD..

price paid and insurance paid does not mean extra potential... The type-s motor is great with lots of potential... But money saved from those factors does opens the door for more mods later.... For example the money saved from going Si instead of Type-s (about $3000) can be put toward something like a Comptech or JR supercharger... Thats all im saying.... I was all for a type-s for about year now esspecially the way the 05+ looks... But when I got that insurance quote compared to the Si.... Its was no brainer to me... I just dont believe in paying more for insurance than I do for the car... I live in the SAc/Stockton area where all ****'s do is steal hondas/acuras.. So my insurance is alot higher than it would be in North Dakota for example// So I guess location also plays a role...And I see that you have the NBP Type S too....IMO thats the best color..
