Is it hard to installed a alternator?
I have a b16a and my alternator is burnt. I was wondering if it is complicated to install. And does any B series alternator fit? Because i was going to used my b18b alternator. Help me out honda-tech guys and or girls. Preferably girls haha jk.
shouldnt be hard to fix, just un-bolt it and slack the belt then take the plugs and wires off of it (there should not be many) then put the new one in and tighter up the belt then plug it all back up and start the motor
make sure you dis-connect the battery first, and that you use the same OBD generation for as it was before, it should not matter what type it is, as long as it is a b-series but i may be wrong on that one so anyone correct me if i am wrong

in order to get the alternator out of the car you need to remove the drivers side axle, just the axle not the half shaft. That or remove the brake master cylinder.

with no heat sheilds on the header(or an aftermarket header) it is possible to jiggle it out and get the new one in between the frame and axle without removing the axle...i did it last week on my DA and on an old CRX, took all but 5 minutes
you could probably do it with a stck header too, but I never tried
