Alignment?

Have you tried checking the lug nuts? Retightening them?

I have the same problem! I was talking to one of my friend's friend and he said it might be your axle. If its not your alignment. Did you look under to see if anythingis broken or bent?

alignment is going to help a little of the problem. But what you need to do is take the car and get your wheels balanced and it will fix all your problems.

As for your Lugs if they were loose the car would shake all the time not just between 60-70 mph.

Yup thats correct! I used to be an alignment tech. I used to get so many people that would come in thinking that they needed an alignment when all they really needed was their tires rebalanced.

true that...alignment problem rarely cause a vehicle to shake...most of the time is in the tires or rims...high speed vibration mainly cause from imbalance tire

I had that problem once. It was the driver-side inboard CV joint. You can't tell anything's broken from a quick visual inspection. You have to remove the axle and check the joint for knocking or excessive play.

And, isn't the rule of thumb on wheel out-of-balanceness, .5oz out-of-balance and you start feeling it past 50mph and .25oz out-of-balance and you start feeling it past 70mph?

your wheels are out of balance. anymore than .25 oz out of balance will cause a vibration. also if your tires are pretty low on tread. Dont forget that if they didnt mount them correctly (keeping the theory in mind that a tire has a high and low spot) they will be impossible to balance completely. i had a car come in with some cheap *** tires and it was off by like 5.00oz on the outside....dont buy Tijuna tires!

I deal with this scenario everyday at work, and where you need to start is a 4 wheel balance. If that doesnt solve the problem, get an alignment, and if that still hasnt solved the problem check to see if your axles are bad (usually they click when you turn sharply), or jack the car up, and see if you can twist them back and forth, check for excessive play.... you usually only get it when they are about to completely go out.

If none of that works.... check to make sure suspension parts arent broken/bent (they should tell you if something is when u have it aligned), but I'd be willing to bet balancing the wheels will solve the problem.
