I accidently bought a automatic JDM LS motor today and was in such a hurry I did'nt catch it till my mechanic called me back tonight asking if I knew..The car is a turbo EG hatch with a t3-t4 60trim on 9psi.

I always heard thier is a big performance difference in the Automatic cams from the 5spd cams.. Can anybody help me out here I have some 5spd cams but have to pay a bit more to get them installed. Can anybody please help me out I gotta let my mechanic no what I wanna do by tommorow.

 

dunno about jdm...but usdm ls the cams do NOT vary...

 

no they dont.... SAME motor, different tranny

 

I wish somebody could just produce the specs or something.. Thier debating this on the EG site and most said that the performance lost would be 5hp if that but again some said thier exactly the same.

Anybody 100% sure on this matter??

i know they are the same because my car used to be an automatic....now that it is a manual...id like someone to tell me im handicapped cause my cams dont perform as well as a manual car....my ET's dont tell me that...
