i have 96 civic cx with d16y7 and a valve has been tapping. i searched and found how to adjust the valves, i went through all that and every thing seemed to be to spec. after i put everything back together after checking the valves it seemed to be better by some degree, but it still has some intermittent tapping that seems to be fairly random.

are there any other things that can be adjsuted to remedy this? is something (i.e. camshaft, rocker, valve) bent or broken that needs to be replaced?
