Default 2001 Civic EX EMII Suspension/Brake Swap ?

I was interested in a 5 lug swap for my EMII and was curious of the following:

Is there a kit out there yet for it?
Is there a good place to find RSX Type-S suspension/brake components out there?
Besides the Axles, CA's, Brake Components is there anything else needed? (like a Brake Booster...)
Is there a decent write-up with photos out there on how-to do it?

I know some people just say stick with four lug and get the rear discs off of another Civic, but I'll be needing the RSX components for a later engine swap and other such things.

get a 5 lug type S suspension.

Do not try to bother with Type R suspension on your civic unless you plan to roll the crap out of your fenders and repaint them to fit aftermarket wheels on the Type R suspension. You will need to find some weird wheels with 50+ offset to fit inside your fenders if you have the Type R suspension vs a type S suspension that is a bit narrower.

Swap the hubs with the motor. D-axles don't match K-hubs.

Awesome help guys, thanks a TON!

@HapaHaole: Are the Type-R CA's that much wider? Because, that's quite interesting information. What makes them different? (If you know)

@Boilermaker1: Just curious, Boilermaker1, but do the K-axles work with a D-engine? Or are the splines different on both ends?

The answer to the first one is the Brembo brakes
the answer to the second one is you cannot use K axles with the D anything, visa versa.
The D is on the opposite side of the engine bay and the spline pattern is different. its a completely incompatible combination.
Custom axles are one option, people have hinted at pulling the RSX outer axle off and mating it to the rest of the D axle. I know nothing about this working.

Awesome. That totally puts things into perspective. Now, if it were you, and you weren't planning on swapping the D17 anytime soon. Would you recommend just sticking with a Rear Disc swap from another Civic, or is the 5-bolt a really good swap to have?

It affords you larger brakes the RSX-S has. But the car doesn't weigh all that much, and 130 HP isn't much to contain. Even the disc swap is unnecessary.
I redid my brakes to counter overheating on the track (I now have DC2R 11.1" Fronts and EP3 rears, but for general driving, there's no point in anymore than new fluid, pads and a decient set of rotors.
Honestly I don't think its worth it just to get 5 lugs, there's a bajillion 4 lug wheels to pick from.

It wasn't the fact that it was 5-lugs that interested me. It was more on the lines of the fact that the brakes and suspension components were more tailored towards performance, than everyday driving.

I found your post on 7thgen, Boilermaker1. Is there any chance you could email me the corresponding pics to the Rear EP3 disc swap?

post the pics of the swap on here, I wanna see too.

Also, Ive seen outer K axle ends on B-series shafts, and I know that the B and D outers take the same stuff (99 Civic EX and Si, ones a D, ones a B.) But I cannot give ya 100% conformation that this will work, cause if the RSX suspension's centerline isnt the same as your civic, you'll need to have the axles cut, so go with custom axles anyway. Why do you want 5 lugs? Theres ways to get the same sized brakes without swappin the whole suspension.

Becuase full 5 lug swaps have been seen going for $500. You can get about 1/2 a wilwood kit for that, which does little good.

Anyways, here's EP rears

And DC2R/Prelude 11.1" Fronts (which are still smaller than Type S brakes)
