Engine stalling after 30mins driving!
Hi, I have a UK D16A9 CRX 1989! 130bhp model
It stalls after say 30mins of driving! Any help? It restarts but after a while it justs refuses to do so? It drops about 1k rpm then just stalls and the engine management system light comes on!!! But If i wait say 20 mins it is fine and restarts???? Any ideas? FUEL FILTER ????????

I'm going to just take a stab in the dark here, but when a weak coil heats up, the resistance can cause reduced spark energy, sometimes insufficient for engine operation. It's not the only possibility, but that'd be my first guess. If not, I'd suspect iginition regardless (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc).

Main relay, get it resoldierd or get a new one
You hear clicking. That means your main relay is good.
If the car starts up, that means the starter is good.

check dizzy sounds like thing i had with my msd coil it would shut down after that time and takes about 10 min to start again turned out i had a wire that wasnt insulated and leakin spark so coil would overheat and shut down
I think these guys have it right on. Very common problems.
I had my coil & ignitor go bad at about the same time, and had some of the same symptoms you are describing.

Sorry for being an idiot!!!!!! But what do U mean by the module going bad in the dizzy???? What Wire would it be?? Not an expert, but not willing to pay hundreds to a mechanic!!!
I hope it isn't the main relay as it has never got above 5 degrees here in the last 2 months!!! Hence heat isn't a problem!!!! It has only stalled if under a quarter tank of fuel!!! Fuel pump or blocked Fuel filter??????
There is a pinging sound after I turn off the engine, but sounds more from the exhaust than detonation from the engine!!!!
Thanks

You most likely need to replace the coil or ignitor module under the distributor cap - most auto parts places have a tester they can use to test those parts. Either that, or see if they will let you return the parts if they don't solve the problem.
The electronics in you car will heat up just from being used (like the main relay), but underhood temps also contribute to the distributor components heating up.
