Difference in b16 heads?

Difference in b16 heads?
Is there a difference w/ the older gen b16a and the si b16a2. I'm sure its just that the older ones are older and the newer ones are newer. If the heads has been redone w/ a port and polish head job, new valves, valve springs and retainers would they be the same?
