Default Switching Spring Rates without Revalving Shocks?

I am currently running an Ohlins PCV coilover system with 6k/5k (390/335ft/lbs) springs and wanted to switch the springs to a 225/180 ft/lbs setup with the hopes of making the car a bit more tolerable on the street.

Would any effects of the softer springs be negated by the damper set at it's original valving?

Would there be detrimental effects if I switch to a softer spring?

thanks

suspension in question.

the dampers should hanlde the rates without issue, since they originally came with the 6/5k set-up.

Just make sure you raise the car accordingly.

What about the opposite? Going with stiffer springs, what are the cons without revalving the shocks. Will they blow? or just not offer good dampening. I think my setup now is 350/300 but i wanna go for 450/350. Is it better to have a higher rate in the rear or front?

angle of the pic, there is still about 1.2" between coils.

depends on the shocks. Shocks have a certain range of damping ability, once you're out of this range, the suspension will be underdamped and subject to premature failure.

If you wanna be slammed, you gotta have high sring rates.. (500-650)
If you want a good smooth ride, you gotta have softer rates (300-400), but you
gotta raise the car or else it will bottom out the shock !
