Alright, well i notice that the 96-98 EK coupes and sedans have sort of a rounded off tail lightes. I also noticed that in that same year some of the coupes and sedans have more squared off tail lights like the 99-00 EK's. My question is how come some of them come with rounded off tail lights and some with square tail lights. Sorry i couldnt get any pictures so you guys can see what im talking about, but if you know please chime in.

The 4-door taillights are different from the 2-door taillights. All '96-'98 4-door Civics had the same lights, as did all the '96-'98 2-doors.

it was probably a 92-95 sedan, their taillights are somewhat similar to the ones on the coupe.
Or maybe they had those plastic eyelids on the taillights. I've seen it, but didn't like it.

 

nah, it definately wasnt 92-95 and plus the front end is from 96-98

hrm.. all the 96-98 sedans came with the same tails as the first pic.

that second pic is a 96-98 with 99-00 style inner tails.

being that you're from boston, you might have seen an acura EL. either that or you saw one with red/clear tails.

i see them every so often at school so when i get back ill take pics with my camera phone of the front end and tails so u guys can see what im talking about.

Positive or not, as myself and others have stated here, '96-'98 Civic 4-doors only came with one style of taillights. If you saw a car with something different, it was a custom installation and didn't come from the factory that way.

 

I bet you you saw a 92-95 Sedan with 96-98 Front or 99-00 Front end. Or some sort of conversion most definately.

Although I'm sure a lot of people have personally seen it, especially the ones that were at that show, non the less the fact is that accord never came with Nissan taillights from the factory.
I've also seen civics with Lexus, BMW, Mercedes and even Chevy taillights, but it's all custom.
Just something to think about.

 

im thinkin you saw a 4 door civic

1996-1998 had the same style tails and the 99-00 tails were more squared off. they had sharper lines.
