Default Need help b16 obd0 throwing code 6 when i put it into reverse

i have a jdm b16 into my 89 HF and the motor runs and starts fine but as soon as i shift it into reverse the engine starts idling rough and starts to die and sometimes it will stall out. BUt if i reset the ecu and start it again its fine no ecu codes and no CEL. BUt as soon as its into reverse it does the same thing over again. What could this be. Its like something triggers something when it goes into reverse. I am totally stumped. PLease help

Theres a wire that runs to the ecu you need to cut. Had the same problem with my 91 HF, its a wire not needed when oyu do the B16 swap.

You kinda need reverse lights, I needed them so I could pass inspection so I did it the right way.

Easiest thing. You may have popped a fuse too that you will need to replace under the dash -happens some of the time.

Bump for the same issue. 90 crx hf w/ b16. I was getting ready to rewire the whole damn thing. I have no codes though. What does this pin B9 go to?

Edit: I did some searching, and it seems it goes to nothing on both the hf ecu and the pr3/pwo ecu's. I am stumped.

Anyone know any info on this?

OK, I just depinned b9 (green/black stripe), reset the ECU, and my car still dies within 10 seconds of putting it into reverse.
