Default Check eng. code after adjusting valve lash.

I just adjusted the valve lash on a 01 GS-R. I did it to spec. For some reason the car poped a trouble code. Any body have any idea why?

if you fucked up on adjusting the valve lash it shouldn't set a code. pull the code and see what it is first, then go from there.

if you adjusted the valves too tight you may be misfireing, make sure your not throwing po300, 301, 302, 303, 304 codes. If so readjust your valves, you can burn up a valve by them being too tight. Valves dissipate their heat by properly seating in the valve seat. If too tight they dont close all the way causing low compression which will cause misfires.
